Established in 2003, The Wings Gallery grew from our interest in building and creating healing environments in a clinical setting. After being recognized by Healing Environments, a non-profit organization in Palo Alto, California, we expanded our vision with the opening of an art gallery in a clinic waiting area, designed to celebrate artists who had been touched by cancer and transform blank walls into a visual inspiration. With gratitude to our donors, we also sought a way to honor them.
In 2011, the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC) awarded Wings a grant in recognition of the important role of the Wings Gallery.
The Wings Gallery gives a visual voice to lives touched by cancer. Through their own interpretations, artists render a variety of stories through the canvases, building a greater sense of understanding and hope.
We hope the Wings Gallery and all of our sacred spaces offer comfort and peace.
Rotating Art Exhibit
Shows are open to all artists touched by cancer and will rotate every six weeks.
Artist of the Year
Each year Wings asks one artist to honor those who have been touched by cancer and celebrate those who make it possible for support to be available to them at no charge. We appreciate the following artists who have helped us honor our donors.
