Betty Mason is a self taught artist who has been painting for over thirty years. She and her husband Harold live in Wheatley, Arkansas. Betty has been teaching oil painting for more than 20 years to local artist. She started her art classes in a spare bedroom before adding her "Art Shop" behind her house around 1980.
Her awards include The Arkansas Wildlife Award, Stuttgart Art Center Minnie Heine Award, Forrest City Awards, West Memphis Awards, and the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce Wings Over the Prairie Award.
Cancer has affected Betty's life greatly. She has lost four sisters to various forms of cancer including colon, throat, lung and bone.
