"My personal work comes from whatever I am concerned with at any given time. It is the way I express my being on this planet: my way of understanding being. I initially make it for myself. Exhibiting pieces allows me to communicate with others. I see teaching as a collaborative process where I make art with others in the community. I equally enjoy the solitude of my personal work and the community of the collaborative projects."
