Having made traditional quilts for more than 30 years, the tree quilts in this show represent a branching out into new areas of exploration of cloth and thread and color for me. I have driven past this tree almost daily for three years. Even though the tree has been severely cut back and storm damaged, it retains beauty and strength. I hope you enjoy the tree in all its variations.

Ann Buggey is a counselor for CCCS of America and teaches English Literature part time at the University of Memphis. She and her husband Tom have two adult daughters.
