Past Artist - Ann Cobb Beach

2002 Artist of the Year

My art is a lifelong joy.  Emphasis is placed on color, composition and design with the desire to arouse in each individual an emotional reflection of some past experience.  There is a story to each painting which maybe feelings captured, quietness of thoughts, tender moments, the tranquil life.  Each viewer perceives them differently. Through transparent water color, I paint with my heart and that which is closest to me.

Ribbons of Hope by Ann Cobb BeachRibbons of Hope is a beautiful work of art by local watercolorist Ann Beach. It was created to celebrate our 2001 Major Donors. The background of this hopeful piece is a soft black that accents the other objects for a strong message. The Ginkgo leaves represent hope and healing. They seem alive like little bells ringing. Graceful satin ribbons are fastened to the leaves. Joining them together for strength and support. Two happy bluebirds complete the piece. One is perched on a ribbon offering its loving threaded heart to the other bird swinging on a leaf.
